Blackwell, Alice E. (Dr.)
Dr. Alice Blackwell is a Curator of Medieval Archaeology and History at National Museums Scotland. For almost ten years she was the Glenmorangie Research Fellow at the museum, and has published on many aspects of early medieval material culture. Her doctoral research examined Anglo-Saxon material culture from Scotland.
Blom, Ivo (Dr.)
Ivo Blom is lecturer of film and media studies at the Dept of Comparative Arts and Media Studies (Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam). He specializes in the comparison between cinema and art, but also early cinema, Italian cinema, Antiquity films and film distribution.
Blue, Lucy (Dr)
Dr Lucy Blue is a leading maritime archaeologist in her field, a lecturer at the University of Southampton, Centre for Maritime Archaeology, and the Maritime Archaeological Director of the Honor Frost Foundation.
Dr Blue has research interests in harbours and maritime cultural landscapes mostly focused around the eastern Mediterranean, the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea. Her research relating to contemporary boat construction, their operation and use has resulted in her conducting ethnographic enquiries in India, East Africa, Oman and Yemen.
Bonnie, Rick (Dr.)
I am specialized in the archaeology of the Hellenistic–Byzantine Near East — with an emphasis on the region of Israel/Palestine — and have conducted fieldwork in Israel, Greece, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Boom, Krijn H.J. (Dr.)
Krijn Boom started his career with a PhD on the sociocultural impact of public activities in archaeology. Subsequently, he was a post-doctoral researcher in heritage management at the Faculty of Archaeology of Leiden University and Project Manager Blended Learning at the University of Amsterdam. Krijn also co-founded the VALUE project – for research and outreach on the past, heritage, and video games. Currently, Krijn is an education consultant and publisher for Acco, a Flemish academic publishing company. Here, he combines his love for digital innovations in the didactic process with established media, in an ongoing quest to find the optimal ways to transfer knowledge and engage audiences.
Boomert, Arie (Dr.)
Arie Boomert (1946) worked as an archaeologist at the Surinaams Museum, Paramaribo, Suriname; Leiden University and the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad. In 2011 he retired as an Assistant Professor and Senior Researcher from the Faculty of Archaeology, Leiden University. At present he is a Honorary Research Fellow at Leiden University and a Curatorial Affiliate in the Division of Anthropology, Peabody Museum of Natural History, Yale University, New Haven, USA.

Peter Boot is a senior researcher at the Huygens Institute for the History of the Netherlands. He studied mathematics and Dutch literature and wrote a thesis about electronic annotation in digital editions.
