Taboui - Caribbean Archaeology Series

Taboui is an international peer-reviewed publication series on Caribbean Archaeology. The series is intended for monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings and PhD theses. The Taboui series is published by Sidestone Press, the series scientific editor is Prof. Benoit Bérard (Université des Antilles).

Taboui est une collection à comité de lecture international dédiée à l’archéologie caraïbe. Peuvent y être publiés des monographies, des ouvrages collectifs, des actes de colloques ou des thèses de doctorat. La collection est dirigée par Benoît Bérard (EA 929 AIHP/GEODE, Université des Antilles) et publiée par Sidestone Press.

Geographical scope

Taboui publishes manuscripts concerning the archaeology of the Caribbean area: the Antillean archipelago and associated continental zones, the Orinoco basin and the South American coast from Margarita to the Guyana plateau. In addition, a specific concern of the series is to publish manuscripts concerning the whole Caribbean basin and Guyano-Amazonian space and linked to the history of the Caribbean area.

The Taboui series publishes manuscripts concerning all instances of human occupation of this geographical space, from the beginnings of human settlement to 1950.

Le cœur de la politique éditoriale de la collection “Taboui” correspond à l’aire Caraïbe : l’archipel antillais dans sa totalité et les zones continentales associées (bassin de l’Orénoque et zone côtière allant de Margarita au du plateau des Guyanes). Cependant, une attention toute particulière sera aussi apportée aux ouvrages concernant l’ensemble du bassin caraïbe ou l’espace guyano-amazonien et présentant un intérêt particulier en rapport avec l’aire Caraïbe telle qu’elle a été définie.

La période chronologique couverte par la collection s’étend du début de l’occupation humaine de la zone à l’après-guerre (1950).

Submission

Taboui series publish volume in french, english or spanish. Interested authors should send a volume proposal to the editorial secretary: secretariat.taboui[AT]martinique.univ-ag.fr before submission of manuscript for possible publication. The scientific board evaluates this proposal. All manuscripts submissions are sent out for external peer review by two referees. The referees are chosen by the series editor and the editorial committee in a short list elaborated by the scientific board.

La collection Taboui publie des ouvrages en français, anglais ou espagnol. Les auteurs souhaitant publier dans Taboui doivent transmettre une proposition détaillée au secrétariat de rédaction : secretariat.taboui[AT]martinique.univ-ag.fr avant l’envoi d’un quelconque manuscrit. Cette proposition est soumise à l’avis du comité scientifique. Tous les manuscrits dont la soumission a été acceptée sont transmis à deux évaluateurs externes choisis par le directeur de la collection et le comité de rédaction au sein d’une liste établie par le comité scientifique.
