Ariese, Csilla E. (Dr.)
Csilla E. Ariese is a museologist with an interest in decolonial practices, community engagement, maritime archaeology, and video games. Her PhD dissertation (2018, Leiden University) explored Caribbean museums and the practices and processes through which they engage with a diversity of communities. Her recent postdoctoral research at the University of Amsterdam focused on the Amsterdam Museum and how it deals with the colonial pasts of its collections and the city. She is a co-founder of the VALUE Foundation, among others organizing the RoMeincraft project and curating the Culture Arcade exhibition. Her publications span the topics of decolonizing museums, Caribbean museums, interactive pasts, and VOC shipwrecks in Australia.
Arimura, Makoto (Prof. dr.)
Makoto Arimura is a professor at Tokai University, Japan. He obtained his undergraduate degree in archaeology (1995) from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, under Professor Akira Tsuneki, and his PhD in archaeology (2007) from the Université Lumière Lyon 2, France, under Professor Olivier Aurenche and Dr Éric Coqueugniot. After a project assistant post at the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN), Kyoto (2006), he worked at the Tokyo National Research Institute for Cultural Properties (NRICP) as a research fellow (2007–2012). His primary research topic is the transformation of human society during Neolithisation, through changes in material culture, particularly the transition of stone tool manufacturing technology in the Neolithic Near East.
Arnoldussen, Stijn (Dr.)
Stijn Arnoldussen studied prehistory of northwestern Europe at Leiden University and won the ‘W.A. van Es’ award for the best Dutch archaeological MA thesis. From 2003 to 2007 he was involved in a research project that focused on the Bronze Age cultural landscape in the Dutch river area, resulting in his PhD thesis A Living Landscape. After working for several years as a senior researcher with the Dutch National Service for Archaeology, Cultural Landscape and Built Heritage (RACM, now RCE) he is currently employed as a lecturer in later prehistory at the University of Groningen.

Nico Arts studeerde culturele en fysische antropologie in Leiden en pre- en protohistorie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Sinds 1989 werkt hij als stadsarcheoloog van Eindhoven. Hij is auteur van een lange reeks publicaties over de steentijd in het zuiden van Nederland en over de archeologie van middeleeuws en vroeg-modern Eindhoven.

Auenmüller, Johannes (Dr.)
Johannes Auenmüller studied Egyptology, Classical Archaeology and Prehistoric Archaeology at Free University Berlin and completed his doctoral studies funded by the Berlin Cluster of Excellence TOPOI with a dissertation about the territoriality and space-related identity of the Egyptian New Kingdom elite.
Augustat, Claudia (Dr.)
Claudia Augustat is curator of the South America collections at Weltmuseum Wien, Vienna, with a regional focus on Amazonia. In her research, she concentrates on topics such as material culture and cultural memory, collaborative projects as well as decolonization of museum practice. She is project leader of SWICH – Sharing a World of Inclusion, Creativity and Heritage (since January 2018).
Auxiette, Ginette (Dr.)
Ginette Auxiette has a Ph.D. in archaeology from the Université de Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne and is currently a researcher specialized in archaeozoology with the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP). Her research carried out with the team Trajectoires «De la sédentarisation à l’Etat» (UMR 8215 of CNRS) deals with different aspects of material culture in the Metal Ages in the northern half of France.
